Reflecting on Mirrors
Mirrors can be a huge asset when you are decorating. They accomplish so many goals. First, they create the illusion of depth and space. They can make a small space feel bigger.
With a mirror, you can almost create your own window. A fun, decorative window that you can put anywhere. The light that bounces off a mirror, gives life to your space.
Mirrors can also be a great decorative element. They can be incorporated into a gallery wall or they can be a focal point when sconces are added to either side.
A large mirror can be it's own statement piece and can add a dramatic element to a space.
Try hanging multiple mirrors on the same wall, grouped together like art for a big effect.
Mirrors can reflect and emphasize something beautiful. Think of a lovely view out of a window that is reflected into the space by mirrors. Maybe an architectural element or beautiful art piece that is reflected.
I especially like a mirror in an entry way as it will reflect light and welcome visitors into your home with a bright, sunny entrance. The entry way mirror is also a great place for you to do a last minute check as you leave your home.
Find some mirrors that you love. A few that fit your style and would work great in your space and hang them up! You will love the light, reflective, airy atmosphere that they create.
